THREE CITED AS PILLARS OF PARK FOREST COMMUNITY
USbank in Park Forest recognized Park Forest Village President John Ostenburg, Park Forest-Chicago Heights School District 163 Superintendent Joyce Carmine and Reverend Michael Sykes, pastor of Faith United Protestant Church in Park Forest, as pillars of the community during a recent ceremony at the bank.

“We are pleased to recognize the pillars of the Park Forest community,” said Sharlene Stanley, vice president and branch manager of USbank, to the audience. “The bank is a part of the community, so it is fitting that we conduct this recognition at the bank. I thank Roy Dillard for organizing this event.”

State Representative Anthony DeLuca also was on hand for the ceremony and congratulated the recipients. “It is a special honor to be among these pillars of the community,” he remarked.

Each of the recipients received a hand carved wooden figurine encased in a shadowbox frame. The figurines represented leadership, said Mr. Dillard.
